About You

We’re looking for an ace employee to assist across the stock control department in the warehouse, keeping the flow of distribution moving and keeping our customers happy. This means you are well versed in the process of picking and packing allocated orders daily in a warehouse environment. You have great attention to detail, and you are able to see the bigger picture and make decisions on the go.

Responsibilities:

• Receive and verify quantities of supplier stock, Everyday Essentials stock and Clearance stock against allocation requirements.

• Conduct quality assurance checks on incoming and outgoing stock, ensuring product condition, packaging integrity, expiry dates (minimum six months for incoming stock), correct product descriptions, branding, pack sizes, SKU details and deal imagery in accordance with departmental SOPs. Report any discrepancies to the Manager.

• Maintain accurate merchandising of shelves by supplier, stock type and SKU in alphanumeric sequence.

• Accurately pick, verify and pack customer orders according to sales order specifications, ensuring correct SKUs, pack sizes, product descriptions and quantities before transferring orders to the processing area.

• Ensure all staged orders are processed daily while meeting departmental KPIs and adhering to company SOPs.

• Maintain a clean, safe and organised warehouse environment, ensuring aisle cleanliness and effective shelf space and weight utilisation.

• Maximise picking efficiencies through effective put-away strategies.

• Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures.

• Perform ad hoc duties and assist across departments as required by the Manager or Team Leader.

Experience and Qualifications:

• Matric

• Experience in a warehouse environment

• Sound analytical, organising, interpersonal and communication skills

• Strong affiliation to systems, utilising them to increase productivity in line with the business strategy

• Manage multiple tasks and communicate with various departments simultaneously.

• Able to think proactively to independently solve problems.

• Proficient in basic computer skills
