Responsibilities include:

Overall, you’ll be responsible for every aspect of the business including:

Ecommerce Administration:

  • Site administration and monitoring, ensuring the site works optimally (Shopify).
  • Responsible for uploading new products, content, and campaigns, ensuring 100% accuracy.
  • Overseeing the design, usability, and development of the website as well as system integrations when required.
  • Capturing payments daily on the back end.
  • Sales analytics and reporting.

Sales:

  • Continuously finding ways to expand and grow our in-house leather brand (Find new markets).
  • Grow and increase sales on the site.
  • Work closely with current suppliers to ensure the supply chain is healthy and the brand is able to move large volumes.
  • Range showings to directors to add new lines and exterminate lines that do not resonate.

Product Development & Quality Assurance:

  • Improve quality on current lines.
  • Continuously develop new lines to increase sales and keep the site looking exciting and fresh.
  • After product development, samples need to be thoroughly checked and tested and go through a QA test.
  • After quality is on standard, ensure to book samples into the studio and brief them accordingly to have new lines professionally photographed.
  • Refresh images at least once a year.

Procurement and Stock Management:

  • Production management – creating and maintaining relationships and searching for potential new suppliers.
  • Placing all product orders and ensuring that stock is constantly replenished and maintained at optimal levels.
  • Managing packaging stock levels, ensuring that there is at all times available packaging for dispatch – includes placing orders with packaging and following up on deliveries.
  • Attending to queries identified at month-end stock counts and correcting inventory records where appropriate.
  • Attending to queries raised by the stock controller – particularly relating to packaging and product queries in receiving orders from suppliers and dispatching goods to customers.
  • Training and assisting the continuous development of the stock controller.

Customer Service:

  • An understanding of the customer service functions and dealing with customer issues when needed, including monitoring and responding to customer queries, arranging collections of faulty products.

Marketing:

  • Taking brand ownership and translating brand strategy and positioning into tactics and an executable brand plan.
  • Strategise, implement, manage and monitor sales campaigns.
  • Measure and report performance of all campaigns, assessing against goals and objectives.
  • Brief and evaluate creative, copy & artwork based on brand strategy and CI.
  • Read, analyse and act on analytics.
  • Conceptualise new and innovative growth strategies.
  • Monitor and review competitor sites, market trends, new technologies, and channels - recognizing opportunities, and driving the implementation.

Reporting:

  • Provide monthly feedback and present findings to managers and directors (sales, marketing and operations).

Requirements, Skills, and Qualifications:

  • Exquisite taste

  • Degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience and understanding of the e-commerce environment.
  • Experience working with Shopify is advantageous.
  • Digital marketing experience - knowledge of SEO/PPC/Google Analytics is a distinct advantage.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), admin and project management skills.
  • Strong analytical, organising, interpersonal, communication and negotiating skills.
  • Good understanding of planning and the logistics process relating to products.
  • Great at multitasking.
  • Strong time management & prioritisation skills.
