About You
You’re highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrive in fast-paced environments. A proactive problem-solver, you juggle multiple priorities with ease and ensure shipments move smoothly from start to finish. You think ahead, anticipate challenges, and take action to prevent delays. With a strong sense of urgency and a passion for logistics, you excel at keeping things running like clockwork.
Responsibilities:
- Taking charge of the shipping process. This includes order placement to final delivery, ensuring on-time and cost-effective international shipments.
- Manage all import/export documentation, including customs forms, bills of lading, invoices, and packing lists.
- Track and monitor shipments proactively, resolving any issues before they cause delays.
- Liaise with freight forwarders, customs agents, and suppliers to ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Ensure compliance with international trade laws, tariffs, and import regulations.
- Negotiate with shipping vendors to secure the best rates and service levels.
- Manage product samples, ensuring timely requests, tracking, and delivery to relevant stakeholders.
- Oversee quality control – ensuring all imported products meet our brand and quality standards.
- Support internal teams (sales, marketing, product development) with shipping schedules, product availability, and packaging needs.
Experience and Qualifications:
- BCom in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in logistics, imports, or international shipping.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel) and Google Suite.
- Experience dealing with international suppliers, particularly in China (advantageous)
- Experience in shipping, imports, or e-commerce operations is a strong advantage.
- You thrive in structured environments, love checklists, and ensure nothing gets overlooked.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines, and juggle multiple priorities with precision.
- Ability to anticipate issues and resolve them before they become roadblocks.
- Collaborate seamlessly with teams and suppliers across different time zones.
- Handle spreadsheets, shipping documentation, and databases effortlessly.
- Team player & efficiency driver by working collaboratively, support your team, and push for streamlined execution.
- Self-motivated & high-energy. Ability to take initiative, act decisively, and get things done without waiting for direction.
